Time really is a precious comodity.
Years of having only and hour here and there to write has tought me to make use of it efficiently.
Get the words down, don't go back touch up - just leave a '#' tag and a reminder and keep going.
Only get into plot/archs etc when I don't actually know where my characters are going.
This is grand, but any other efficiency gains at this point is a deminishing returns formula - There's just never enough time to write.
My lunch hour, until a few months ago, was essentially 20 to 30 minutes of actually being productive. So, I've arranged something magical. I get into work an hour earlier, and have a two hour lunch break.
Two hours!
This effectively adds an actual full hour to my time making me 3 to 4 times more productive.
I'm getting progress and not falling into the trap of being bored with the story because I can't get past the scene. More to the point, I'm finishing things. Its only taken more years of scribbles than I really care to count.
